How to play Shadow Fiend in Dota 2

Shadow Fiend is probably the most legendary hero in Dota 2. One of the strongest laners and the favourite hero of all miders. You're not a midrunner if you don't have him in your pool. One of the most interesting heroes, which is now unfortunately not in the meta, but skilful players can still win safely on it. The hero lost relevance after the death of his magic build, which was special and gave the hero a unique charm. I suggest taking him apart in more detail, and go over the main pros, cons.

Pros

  • Very strong line;
  • A huge amount of both magical and physical damage;
  • Fast farming;
  • Reduces armour.

Cons

  • The hero is very thin, and requires good positioning;
  • If the tempo is slowed down, the hero is hard to gambey;
  • He loses to many kerrys in leit.

SHADOWRAZE

Aka kills. A chip ability that allows you to kill the hero in 3-5 hits, depending on the level of pumping. There are 3 types: close, medium, far (QWE) respectively. The buttons used to be located on ZXC, hence the name for all duels. Hitting each coil does damage, and increases it when the next one hits. Hitting 2 coils will slow your movement, and almost always catch 1-2 more, dying in most cases.

NECROMASTERY

With each enemy killed, NF gains souls that increase physical damage and ultimates damage.

PREFENCE OF THE DARK LORD

A hero in a specific area reduces armour to all enemies, and with a talent at level 15, it does so to Taveras as well.

REQUIEM OF SOULS

The main ability without which SF wouldn't be SF. Stacks well with eul, pause, and a question in chat before using it. Deals massive magic damage, and gives a fear effect that the player cannot control the character under.

Game Actions

Magical SF is dead, so only the physical build is played. Always buy Mask of Madness and Dragon lance, which will give you a boost on farming, and the necessary survivability. Then you need to collect according to the situation. On the hero especially good looking items that give critical damage. You can take builds and learn to play from streamers who often pick it up.
