Hyde on Magnus in Dota 2

Magnus is that dangerous bro who takes the place of a midlaner or offlaner in your team. He is like the one who holds the line and supports his teammates with his abilities. His Empower turns your bearer into a monster that can tear enemies to pieces. And his Reverse Polarity is the real deal! It slows down all enemies and prepares them for death.

Pros

  • Powerful control: Reverse Polarity is an ult that slows enemies down and prepares them for destruction.
  • Team Support: Empower turns your kerry into a real monster, increasing his damage and making him a fearsome assassin.
  • Efficient Farmer: Shockwave is a powerful tool for quick farming, dealing damage and slowing enemies by drawing them to Magnus.
  • Versatility: Can take on different roles, from offlaner to midlaner, depending on the team's needs.

Cons

  • Dependent on Ulta: Without Reverse Polarity, Magnus may be less useful in teamfights.
  • Experience Required: Using Skewer to properly position and control enemies requires practice.
  • Mana Problems: Early in the game, may not have enough mana to utilize his abilities.
  • Lineup Difficulties: Meeting aggressive opponents on the line can be a problem due to Magnus' low mobility.

Shockwave

Magnus unleashes a shockwave in a specified direction that attracts enemies, dealing damage and slowing them down for a short time.

Empower

Gives an ally increased damage and improves their attack. Affects the wielder 75% more.

Skewer

The hero rushes forward with force, piercing enemies with his massive horn. If it hits enemy heroes along the way, it drags them to their destination, dealing damage and temporarily slowing their movement and attack speed.

Reverse Polarity

An ultimatum ability during which Magnus will change the properties of matter, attracting all enemies around him to him and stunning them with a powerful blow that deals damage.

Horn Toss

Aghanim's scepter is required to use this ability. The hero throws enemies through himself, dealing damage. After flying for 0.6 seconds, they are slowed greatly when they land.

Innate Ability and Aspects

Thanks to the innate Solid Core ability, enemy displacement effects are 50% weaker on Magnus.

Patch 7.36 added two aspects to Magnus: The first allows him to deal more damage with his Skewer ability if he drags an enemy through trees and ledges. The second changes Reverse Polarity, allowing you to push enemies apart instead of pulling them in.
