The Esports World Cup for Counter-Strike 2 with a prize pool of $1 million came to an end today. The main title of this tournament went to the team Natus Vincere.
The beginning of the first map did not go well for Born to Win. Triple on the pistol round from m0NESY, domination from G2 in the first half, which brought the score to 8:4 in favor of the samurai. In the second half, NAVI was able to impose a standoff and brought the game to overtime. To the great regret of the yellow-blacks, the victory on the first map went to m0NESY and company.
Great and confident start from NAVI, the first half ended with the score 6:6. In the second half Born to Win were able to pull the blanket over themselves and show good play for the defense side. G2 were unable to take a single round for the offense side, which led to NAVI's victory on the second map. Everything will be decided on the Inferno desider, which NAVI has not had a single game on in the last 4 months.
The start of the third map was very entertaining. Winning pistol for Natus Vincere, winning force for Samurai in the second round. But, Natus Vincere respond with a force in the third round, which absolutely broke G2. Samurai took only 3 rounds in the first half. The second half of the decisive map started with a pistol round win for NAVI, with the Samurai's chances of kambecking getting smaller and smaller with each round. The map ended with a score of 13:6, securing NAVI's victory in the CS2 World Championship.
