Guide to Storm Spirit in Dota 2

Storm Spirit is one of the strongest mids in Dota 2. He has everything you need for a quality game on the second position. In competent hands, he can calmly turn over any game, and win it regardless of his team. He is also quite easy to use, and can be recommended to beginners who just want to learn how to play. I suggest going through all of his abilities, and emphasizing the main pros and cons.

Pros:

  • Strong on laning;
  • Comfortable animation and attack power;
  • High mobility;
  • High magic damage;
  • Lots of control;
  • Scales well in leit.

Minuses:

  • Heavy dependence on mana;
  • Large number of counter-peaks;
  • Requires practice.

STATIC REMNANT

The hero puts an electric copy underneath himself, which explodes after a second if an opponent is nearby. A great ability that allows you to dominate mish mids, as well as effectively farm lane creeps and forest spots. Works well in conjunction with the second ability.

ELECTRIC VORTEX

Hero binds and stuns enemy heroes for a time that depends on the level of the ability. It works much stronger with Aghanim Scepter, which allows you to stun all enemies within a certain radius.

OVERLOAD

Storm Spirit passive ability. Each applied ability charges your passive. The attack will deal increased magic damage, as well as slowing the enemy's movement speed. If you purchase Shard, you can get 3 charges at once by pressing "E".

BALL LIGHTNING

The hero's phish ability. Makes him very mobile on the map, and allows him to quickly connect to fights. The hero flies in the specified direction, spending a large amount of mana. This is the difficulty of the hero. You need to be able to calculate your manapool, and intelligently manage resources.

Game Actions

If you're going to play Storm Spirit, I recommend getting a flipper, because it's easy to finish him off. Anti-Mage, Outworld Destroyer, Puck, and many more heroes make playing Storm Spirit almost unbearable. There are also a lot of builds for it, and every player can find what he needs. Practice more, watch guides, or streamers who play it.
