What are attributes in Dota 2

Attributes in the game of Dota 2, are the backbone of the game. At the moment there are 4 categories of attributes, the last of which appeared recently. They are needed to divide the heroes by them and give them bonuses. Each of the attributes has its own advantages, and with some exceptions, always tied to its position. I propose to break them down in more detail to understand what these mechanics are and what they are for.

Attribute: Strength

This attribute affects the amount of health you have and how fast you regenerate it. The more strength you have, the harder it is to kill you. Each time you level up, you gain attributes, the number of which is listed under the character icon. 1 strength is approximately 29 xp. It's important to remember that each of your main attributes gives you 1 damage, for 1 point. This is the main category for offliners. There are always exceptions, for example, an offlane can be played by a character who goes through intelligence.

Attribute: Dexterity

An attribute that gives your character movement speed, attack speed, and armor. Due to the attack speed and armor, it is the main attribute for all kerry heroes. The higher its increase per level, the more often the hero is more likely to skylize in leit, and has a better chance to win. For example: Morphling. By pumping fully into dexterity, the hero loses all his strength, but gains a lot of damage, armor and attack speed. Keep this in mind, and use it wisely.

Attribute: Intelligence

Most often used at the center position. Responsible for the amount of your mana, its recovery rate, and resistance to magic damage. Heroes with Intelligence are often used in the mid, as they are able to get into fights early and deal a large amount of damage with almost no items.

Attribute: Universal

This was added to the game quite recently. Universal heroes have the same stat gain per level, which gives them the ability to not buy items for damage, but to buy for stats, which eventually go into damage. This is also allocated to XP, and mana.
